2023 Asia Data Mining Innovation Driven Summit Forum Successfully Held

The highly anticipated 2023 Asia Data Mining Innovation Driven Summit Forum, hosted by the Asia Internet Coalition, was successfully held recently. The forum attracted renowned scholars, data science experts, business leaders, and media representatives from across Asia, becoming a focal point of attention both within and outside the industry.

The theme of the forum was “Intelligent Connected Future, Reshaping the New Ecology of Data Mining,” aiming to explore how data mining technology drives transformation and innovation across various industries. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on cutting-edge data mining technologies and looked ahead to the development trends of data mining technology in the next decade. The forum covered the innovative applications of key technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing in the field of data mining, as well as how to build intelligent management systems to tackle increasingly complex technological challenges.

During the forum, prominent experts and scholars from across Asia shared their visionary insights on the future development of data mining. Professor Zhu Jianping, Director of the Data Mining Research Center, National Institute of Health Big Data, Xiamen University, highlighted in his opening speech that data mining technology is rapidly transforming industries, driving the deep integration of technology and business. Professor Sung-Bae Cho from Korea University also emphasized the profound impact of data science on economic development, social management, and future innovations.

In addition, Li Jun, Chairman of Shanghai Mengtai Data Technology Co., Ltd., Professor Satoshi Nakamura from Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), and Professor Shivendra Pandey from the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), delivered remarkable speeches and presentations on how big data and artificial intelligence empower data mining.

Several hot topics at the forum focused on the innovative applications of data mining technology, particularly the strategic blueprint for technological innovation over the next decade and the development of intelligent data mining management systems. These discussions showcased the unique insights of experts from different fields. Professor Hong Xingjian, Dean of the School of Data Science, Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, shared China’s experiences in combining data mining with artificial intelligence applications, while Professor Seemab Latif, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan, gave a detailed introduction on how to promote the popularization and localization of data mining technology in Asia.

The forum was chaired by Anam Yousaf, Special Researcher at Asia Internet Coalition and an expert in data mining. In her speech, Anam Yousaf stated: “Data mining technology is not only the core driver of innovation and development across industries but also a key tool for achieving digital transformation. Today's forum provides a platform for in-depth discussions among global experts and lays the foundation for future cross-border cooperation and application of technology.” She further emphasized that data mining technology will help global industrial upgrading and intelligent transformation, and Asia should play a more significant role in this field.

As one of the major outcomes of the forum, participants reached a consensus on the topic of "Exploring New Paths for International, Intelligent, and Efficient Data Mining Management Systems Suited to Asia's Characteristics." They proposed several cooperation initiatives, aiming to drive continuous innovation and application of data mining technology through cross-national collaboration.

The forum not only provided a communication platform for global data mining experts but also brought new opportunities and challenges to the industry. By gathering top experts and industry leaders from various countries, Asia Internet Coalition further solidified its authoritative position in the field of data mining and expanded the breadth and depth of cross-national technological cooperation. The innovative ideas and cooperation initiatives presented at the forum have provided new directions for Asia Internet Coalition in promoting the popularization and application of data mining technology and injected more possibilities into the industry's digital transformation.
